Our History

Our History

The All American Propane Company was established in 1993 by the husband and wife team of Dick and Carole Start who offer over 90 years combined experience in the propane industry.

Located at 1617 S Keys Rd, Yakima, Washington, the company has over 35 employees. We service a large regional area of central, eastern, and southern Washington. We also supply domestic, commercial, agricultural, and wholesale propane and all forms of technical service and supplies.

The company expanded the business to include a satellite plant and showroom located in Othello, Washington in 2009.

Our Capabilities

Both propane distribution plants include a fully staffed service department as well as suitably stocked showrooms with camping, grilling, mechanical and most any agricultural part or fittings needed.

To assure an adequate supply of propane for our ever growing customer base, the Bruce Storage facility was built in 2010. Located at Port of Othello and with the capability to store over half a million gallons of clean alternative fuel.

This gives us the ability to deliver the large quantities of fuel needed for the region’s agricultural, commercial, and domestic propane demands. The facility is prepared to handle transport tanker loads that make it possible to deliver propane to any area in the Northwest as well as our 2 propane plant distribution locations.

Unfortunately, Dick passed away, but his legacy is alive and continuing under the qualified leadership of Carole Start.

An Exciting Future

In 2020, All American Propane became a part of the ThompsonGas family of companies, but strives to maintain the same familiar service our customers know us by.

Even after 25 years in the industry, our focus is still to provide the very best service at a competitive price. We take pride in being the propane company for the people!
